Caleb Fidler and Samuel Webb founded the Fidler and Webb General store in Mt Gambier in 1857. Both were Methodists from Newbury, Berkshire and founded the Methodist church in Mount Gambier.

This painting is sold with a Papunya Tula Artists certificate that reads:
'The painting depicts designs associated with the secret-sacred Tingari site of Yunala, to the south-west of the Kintore Community.
The central design represents a stone at the site.  The roundels at either end show the camps of men who were trying to pull one another back and forth but did not succeed, each group remaining at their own camp. 
Because of the secret nature of the ceremonies associated with this site, no further details was given.'
